As part of my final year of my Product Design and Innovation BSc Hons at the University of Strathclyde, I worked with a team to act as design consultants for a real world client.
Innyoot were looking to develop a removable sole for their range of slippers, working with three colleagues we designed an innovative 'bi-modal' snap on sole utilising 3D printing technology to deliver a working prototype.
Bi-modal technology has recently hit the mainstream, showcased by the new Nike Flyease sneakers, which function using the same basic principles as our Innyoot sole.
We developed several prototypes and proof of concepts throughout the project, demonstrating the benefits of rapid prototyping.
